Yggdrasil Foretelling Two

E-mail Print PDF

A word from Yggdrasil, diviner of Earthmind:

Change is in the air. Rapid and unpredictable progress in science and consciousness will ensue. Beware of being caught off guard by invisible opposition. Rather than direct confrontation, the best approach is to circumvent confrontation altogether by making invisible what the opposition wants and needs, just as they have rendered themselves invisible to us. Be flexible, not hasty. Time is on our side, for our side is all sides. The economic situation may be emboldened via new relationships and new partnerships among those close to us. Observe and study the emergence of zero-interest and peer-to-peer economies such as Prosper and CES. If you are looking for a pivotal new cause to help, then consider this one highly.

Be patient and act with foresight. Matters of lifestyle, shrewd real estate investment and particularly banking via these new relationships are immediately favored. Neither trust nor enfranchise economic oppressors; see them for what they are, nothing more and nothing less. The Force will guide us around patterns of oppression and centripetal control if we cultivate innate sensibilities. The centripetal power regime has had success with overt methods in the past, and will seek ever more subtle methods in the future: it is the invulnerability conferred by invisibility that they now seek. As long as we sell out individual sovereignty for promises of convenience, we will enfranchise them. The winds of change began blowing at our backs over the past year. Have we hoisted the sail? Do we know that the Earth breathes for our freedom and seeks harmony with our patterns of life? Will we meet her offers of courtship?

To harness these new winds, first we must trust our instincts and become decisive and persistent. The id, at the level of survival compulsion, can and should be involved, but never in the forms of panic or hysteria; always mindfulness, with the id as an engine and not at the helm where the mind belongs.

It is a critical time to make the best of our circumstances. If we manifest negativity in the forms of paranoia or material obsession, we will be exploited. Rather, we must visualize and manifest positive change by re-imagining ourselves and our life patterns as immediately connected with the Earth: as our own bankers, our own architects, our own artists, healers and farmers. Now we are called to develop plans toward self-sufficiency in our lives, learning from the past with an eye toward future union with whole and natural lives of individual sovereignty. This is not a sudden process. It requires rare imagination and foresight, the decision to do something and the ego provision to fail. Failure is learning, but yet we have paths to walk and while we live, we must choose between progress and stagnation.

This is the time to visit hobby farms, solar homes and to begin shopping at co-ops and community sponsored agriculture efforts (CSAs), to try on the clothes of sustainability and spread the uptake of the brand. Search for local co-ops and CSAs. Make a list or bookmarks to remind yourself.

Most of these new favorable alignments are coming through community. Oftentimes, community is not something to be sought so much as something that already is, given a slightly altered perspective. Community is waiting to happen all around us, a gong waiting to be struck! After trusting our instincts and deciding to be our own captains in life toward individual sovereignty, the next step is emotional integration with community. Be sensitive and empathic. Reflect on what you have learned from friends and unwitting allies and thank them, and offer a return on their investment with your new insights and direction. Talk with people about the winds of change and this feeling you have. Prepare meals and have them for dinner. Engage in informal visualization projects such as visiting and photographing small organic farms and sustainability sites, and assembling physical and digital scrapbooks together.

On your own time, read about these topics from such established sources as Mother Earth News and the Rodale Press. Now arriving is a new sort of wisdom that lifts the past energies of self-edification and self-beautification toward shared beautification of the community and the environment. If you can, once you've done your research, plant a community garden. The Obamas have recently made some fanfare of planting a victory garden at the White House. Suggest collaborating on one with friends. Identify two or three things that you'd like to grow or enjoy eating, and have your friend(s) do the same, and then collaboratively cultivate. Decide to be patient and kind with each other if and when weeds encroach: this is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of forgiveness and community.

Do not be dismayed by cracks spreading in the pavement of today's civilization. Rather, plant seeds in them. This is the first real pulse of the return to Nature and holistic living. Wherever we sow life for the right reasons, we will prevail in restoring balance. This is our calling as the monks and acolytes of sustainable civilization.

Suggested is an individual sovereignty action plan: four steps toward being fully alive and living deeply.

I. Feel and recognize the winds of change.

II. Decide to become the captain of your own ship in life. Trust your instincts, plot a course, hoist your sail and be persistent. Make a researched list of goals to move your life patterns toward Nature.

III. Integrate emotionally with your plan via activity and practice, and engage community.

IV. Get experimental. Plant a victory garden and learn what works through trial and error.

As always, be fully yourselves. To your paths!
